The Fred Hollows Foundation provides funding for the expansion of the eye health section of the website. The Foundation continues the work of leading Ophthalmologist and Human Rights Campaigner, Professor Fred Hollows. It works in more than 25 countries around the world to end avoidable blindness. In Australia, the Foundation works to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through direct partnerships with local service providers. It focuses on the development and implementation of sustainable solutions to key gaps or weaknesses in the eye health care provided to people living in remote and under-serviced communities. The goal of the Fred Hollows Foundation is to ensure that no person has to live with avoidable blindness, and that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have access to high quality, affordable eye health care.
