Reviews and Summaries

Reviews and summaries contribute to the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet‘s knowledge exchange and translation goals of providing information that is timely, accessible, and relevant to the everyday practice of those engaged in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector. Reviews are scholarly reports written by health topic experts in partnership with HealthInfoNet staff and are published in our peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet. They synthesise all of the currently available information to give a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of a topic. Summaries (previously called ‘plain language reviews’) translate this information into a more visual, accessible and engaging style that is easier to understand and does not require readers to have an academic or medical background.
