Rural Health Workforce Australia

Description

Rural Health Workforce Australia (RHWA) is the national body for the seven rural workforce agencies serving each Australian state and territory. This not-for-profit network attracts, recruits and supports health professionals to work in rural and remote communities.

At a national level, RHWA advocates for improvements to the rural health workforce and collaborates with others to make healthcare accessible for rural and remote people. The RHWA also undertakes research, analysis of workforce data and administration of programs involving health students and health professionals.

The RHWA administers the Dental Relocation and Infrastructure Support Scheme (DRISS). This scheme provides relocation incentives and infrastructure support grants to dentists who relocate to provide general dental services in regional and remote locations.
