Queensland Statewide Cardiac Clinical Network

Description

The Queensland Statewide Cardiac Clinical Network (SCCN) provides expertise, direction and advice about cardiac care to healthcare administrators and planners, the Queensland Department of Health and government. Membership of the SCCN is open to any person with an interest in cardiac patient care and outcomes in Queensland, including doctors, nurses and allied health workers. The SCCN is guided and administered by a central steering committee who represent the views of the broader membership.

SCCN members provide expert clinical advice, review strategic and clinical documents, participate in workgroups, and educate and share skills with others. The SCCN has a 'standing agenda' item to promote the ideas and issues of nursing and allied health members.

The SSCN assisted with the development of the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cardiac health strategy 2014-2017.
