NSW Cardiac Network

Description

The New South Wales (NSW) Cardiac Network aims to improve access to high quality cardiac services and promote better health outcomes for people diagnosed with cardiac conditions throughout NSW. The Network is comprised of doctors, nurses, allied health staff, sonographers, consumers, policy-makers, researchers and representatives of peak health bodies.

One of the many priorities of the Network is to assess the current management of acute rheumatic fever in NSW to identify gaps in service and develop models to improve care and long-term outcomes for people with this condition. A sub-committee of the Network focuses on improving the management of people with chronic cardiovascular conditions.
