Inala Indigenous Health Service (Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence)

 

Description

The Inala Indigenous Health Service is also known as the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Inala Indigenous Health Service is a Queensland Health community health centre based in Inala, Queensland.

The service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander people through a range of clinical, health promotion and research activities and has a monthly outreach fly-in medical service to Cunnamulla, 750 km west of Brisbane. The service also has an outreach Women's and children's clinic at Elorac Place at Ellen Grove.

The service has a research team who are dedicated to finding and publishing evidence about how to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
