OzHarvest

Description

OzHarvest is the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering to 600 charities that provide assistance to vulnerable men, women and children in a number of locations across Australia.

OzHarvest collects surplus from all types of food providers, including fruit and vegetable markets, supermarkets, hotels, wholesalers, farmers, stadiums, corporate events, catering companies, shopping centres, delis, cafes, restaurants, and boardrooms.

To date, the organisation has delivered more than 20 million rescued food meals to vulnerable people and communities, 6,000 tonnes of food that would have otherwise gone to landfill.
