Raise the Bar Academy

Description

The Raise the Bar Academy provides Indigenous secondary school students from around Australia a chance to discover the pathways to studying and participation through high performance sport. The academy also aims to help Indigenous youth turn their love of sport into a career, as well as encouraging them to complete secondary school and pursue tertiary studies.

Indigenous students wishing to attend the Academy must be nominated by a representative from their school or sports club.

The Raise the Bar Academy is a joint initiative between Athletics Australia and Melbourne University Sport.

Abstract adapted from Melbourne University sport
