Centre for Research Excellence in Offender Health

Description

The Centre for Research Excellence in Offender Health (CRE) brings together a team of internationally recognised researchers from across Australia who specialise in various aspects of offender health to advance research an policy in the area and to improve health outcomes for this population group.

The CRE prioritises two overall themes in line with national priority areas and as reflected by the burden of disease in this population:

These two priority themes fall under three research strands:

The CRE is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and was established in 2013 as a part of the Kirby Institute at the University of New South Wales.
