Indigenous Land Corporation

Description

The Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) is an independent statuary authority of the Australian Government established in 1995 to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to acquire and manage land, and to achieve economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits.

The ILC has the following priority outcomes for achieving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander benefits through acquiring and managing land:

By committing to these priorities, ILC aims to help to close the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous Australians and build a secure and sustainable Indigenous land base now and for future generations.
