Karadi Aboriginal Corporation

 

Description

Karadi Aboriginal Corporation provides community care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women, their families and community members. Karadi has a resource centre and works for the promotion and empowerment of Aboriginal people in Tasmania.

Karadi also provide chronic disease case care coordination in the northern suburbs of, Bridgewater, Gagebrook, Brighton, Mangalore, Bagdad and surrounding areas.

Karadi is also a neighborhood house offering a range of programs that are open to the wider community, as well as the Aboriginal community.

The organisation was established in 1988 and is funded by a number of agencies including the Department of Social Services, Tasmanian Medicare Locals, Department of Health, National Healing Foundation and the Department of Health and Human Services.
