Canberra Mob

Description

The Canberra Mob is a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to improving the health of camp dogs in the Utopia region of the Northern Territory.

The organisation is made up of a group of veterinarians, veterinary nurses and like-minded supporters who visit the Northern Territory twice a year, providing desexing clinics, control of parasites, and education for communities on animal health and management. The organisation aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community by improving the health of the local dogs, reducing the transmission of parasites, dog aggression and bite wounds, and skin diseases.

The Canberra Mob works in conjunction with Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC), who provide similar programs in other Indigenous communities.
