Nutrition Society of Australia

The Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) is a group of qualified, practising scientists and educators which meet locally and nationally to discuss the science of nutrition. The society is represented across Australia by regional groups and managed by a national executive.

The main focus of the organisation is based around the mutual scientific support of members and the science of nutrition. The Society's core goal is to increase and communicate the scientific value and relevance of nutrition science in Australia. Members include human nutritionists and dietitians, medical practitioners and nurses, agricultural scientists and veterinarians, food scientists, teachers and students.

The NSA has established a voluntary register of nutritionists to recognise and encourage high standards of professional training in nutrition. Further details and application forms can be found on the Registration pages.
