Alcohol and Other Drugs Early Intervention Innovation Fund

 

Overview

The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Early Intervention Innovation Fund aims to build the evidence base in New South Wales (NSW) for early intervention models to support people at risk, with a particular focus on young people who are vulnerable to using drugs or are already participating in risky drug use.

There are two grant schemes in the AOD Early Intervention Innovation Fund, the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) Evaluation Grants Scheme (EGS), and the AOD Innovation Grants Scheme (IGS).

The NGO EGS focuses on building the evidence base for existing programs delivered by NGOs for which there is a strong rationale for their success. These grants are for $30,000 - $150,000 over two years. The scheme aims to:

Grants of $50,000 to $1 million over two years are available for NGOs and their partners (including NSW Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks, the Ambulance Service of NSW, NSW Health Pathology).

Expressions of interest for the 2017 funding round close on 27 October 2017.
