Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service scholarship

 

Overview

This scholarship is provided by the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) whose mission is to provide and improve health outcomes for the local Aboriginal community. To be eligible to apply, students must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders who are in the first year of their undergraduate course. The scholarship provides approximately $3,330 per year over three years, totalling $10,000. The funds can be used for costs associated with university study.

To be eligible, applicants must be:
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students commencing study within the School of Community Health or the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health on the Albury-Wodonga campus.
  • resident of the AWAHS area (within approximately 100km radius of Albury-Wodonga)
  • possess a sound academic record.
