Traditional owner small grants scheme

 

Overview

The Traditional owner small grants scheme is a funding opportunity developed by the Wet Tropics Management Authority to support bio-cultural activities which will benefit Wet Tropics World Heritage Area management, policy development or operational decision making.

The objective of the grant program is to support rainforest Indigenous people to express or enhance their knowledge, culture and management practices through planning, management, monitoring and research on their traditional country.

Funding of up to $7,000 is available for direct on-ground work, training and/or research. Some examples of previously funded projects include:
