Southern Adelaide local health network bonded Aboriginal medical scholarship scheme

 

Overview

The Southern Adelaide local health network bonded Aboriginal medical scholarship scheme is an initiative of the SA Department for Health and Ageing in partnership with Flinders University. This scholarship program aims to increase the number of professionally qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors working in the SA public health sector.

Scholarships will be awarded on the recommendation of a selection committee comprising Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and Flinders University Medical School representatives. When assessing an applicant's application, the committee will consider:

The value of the scholarship is up to $12,500 per semester of full time study (up to $25,000 per annum for a maximum of four years).
