Lambert McBride Perpetual Bursary

 

Overview

The Lambert McBride perpetual bursary was established by the Queensland Government to recognise the 40th anniversary of the 1967 constitutional referendum. The bursary is named in honour of the late Lambert McBride who was an advocate and lobbyist for Queensland Indigenous rights. The purpose of the bursary is to encourage and assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete their tertiary education at a Queensland university. The bursary is a single payment of $5,000 to assist with living expenses.
