Counting Carbohydrates for Managing Diabetes

 

Overview

Target audience: Dietitians and diabetes educators, including new graduates working with people with diabetes

Course summary: This one day program is designed to increase knowledge and confidence required to accurately count carbohydrates in exchanges and grams to match different insulin regimes and insulin pump therapy.

The program will provide dietitians with skills to teach clients to carbohydrate count, and diabetes educators to understand the principles when working with clients to manage type I, type II and gestational diabetes.
