Course summary: The course covers the knowledge and skills for workers involved in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander primary health care and who work autonomously under the broad guidance of others.
The Diploma qualification covers workers who have a basis of skills and knowledge in primary health care, which they may apply in program delivery, management, and policy or education functions.
This course equips students with specialist skills and knowledge and is designed to support the development of the characteristics of a health professional.
There are no prerequisites for admission to this course and students undertake 20 core and 10 elective units over a two year period. The course covers a range of topics including:
