Overview

Target audience: Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander residents of South Australia wishing to become a health or community worker

Course summary: This course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills to work with Aboriginal people in a health setting. Delegates will gain a greater understanding of necessary primary health care principles and work practices and will learn how to interpret information to develop advocacy skills to assist community members.

The course comprises of 17 competency units, including 12 core units and 5 elective units.
