Feltman training

 

Overview

Target audience: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and other health professionals

Course summary: 
Feltman is a life-sized interactive education tool that visually represents how type 2 diabetes impacts the body. The training runs for two hours and will provide participants with the knowledge base to provide education to community members with diabetes on how their conditions is impacting their body.

The Feltman resource can be provided to Aboriginal and/Torres Strait Islander health services at no cost. Feltman can be used by health workers with individuals or groups, in demonstrations or interactive workshops.

Feltman was developed in partnership between Diabetes Australia - Victoria and the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) to teach Aboriginal people about diabetes management and the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
