Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetics)

 

Overview

Target audience: Health workers, career-changers, those people returning to the workforce and those with a passion for food and nutrition

Course summary: 
This course is offered by Open Colleges on behalf of Integrated Care & Management Training. This is a nationally recognised specialist allied health qualification (HLT43015), which is delivered through online education supported by work placement experience in a health centre or other appropriate workplace to gain real-world experience in allied health.

This course will provide students with a broad-based health knowledge and includes topics that focus on the provision of nutrition advice and pre-screening of dietary requirements. It is self-paced and online and would be the ideal foundation for working as a skilled assistant to a nutritionist, dietitian or other health professional.

Enrollment in this course gives the student free membership to Nutrition Australia, the peak industry body for the nutrition industry in Australia.
