BBV informed consent training

 

Overview

Target audience: Health professionals and/or counsellors who provide HIV/HCV test discussions

Course summary: The WA AIDS Council hosts one interactive 2 day training workshop annually, in blood borne (BBV) informed consent discussion. While the focus of the course is HIV, the learning outcomes can be easily adapted for any chronic illness. Pre and post test discussion is critical for the well being of patients when testing for BBVs. Building capacity and confidence in health professionals is the desired objective of this workshop.

The training will cover the following topics:
