Mental health awareness

 

Overview

Target audience: Health workers and professionals wanting to expand their knowledge of mental health issues

Course summary: This one-day workshop introduces mental health issues and identifies ways to approach the topic of mental health with both clients and co-workers in an approachable manner.

The course will include both online and face-to-face components. The online unit will highlight definitions, statistics and vulnerable groups and communities, and the face-to-face workshop will enable participants to review the learnt online material and discuss recovery models, ethical practice and self-care.
