Overview

Target audience: Those people wanting to train as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker

Course summary: The qualification reflects the role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working to provide a range of non-clinical primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities, including specific health care programs.

This two year course comprises 14 core units and 7 electives.

On completion of this qualification, workers can expect to assume a variety of roles and undertake a broad range of tasks either individually or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
