Certificate IV in alcohol and other drugs (CHC40412)

 

Overview

Target audience: Those who currently hold, or are in the process of gaining, a Certificate III in Community Services Work (CHC30112) or Certificate IV in Community Services Work (CHC40708), adults looking to work in the community sector or adults who have an interest in working with people with issues related to alcohol and other drugs

Course summary: This course aims to provide information on the knowledge and skills needed for support workers and care workers who work under the guidance of health practitioners and professionals in the community services and health sectors. The course will refer to specific knowledge of a client with alcohol and other drugs issues and discuss appropriate intervention processes applied in residential and community settings.
