SMART Recovery: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Facilitator Training

 

Overview

Target audience: People who wish to provide assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of their community who need help managing and overcoming addictive behaviours and associated problems

Course summary: This 2 day course provides people with the skills to run SMART Recovery groups tailored specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. SMART Recovery aims to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are struggling with addictive behaviours to manage, understand and change their automatic thoughts and actions in a culturally sensitive manner. SMART Recovery offers face-to-face and online counselling groups.
