Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma Recovery

 

Overview

Target audience: Aboriginal Health Workers/counsellors, health policy planners, human rights lawyers, non-government organisations, advocacy representatives, educators, administrators, occupational therapists and other mental health workers and policy planners working with victims and/or survivors of trauma

Course summary: This six month course is designed to equip professionals to respond to issues that have particular relevance in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia. Graduates will have the specific skills and competencies so they can work from a trauma informed care and practice approach.

The course comprises these subjects:

Delivery mode: Flexible via and intensive two-week face-to-face residential component and a six month online module
