Overview

Target audience: People interested in becoming an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner

Course summary: This course is a requirement to apply for registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia. This course is focused on the clinical aspects of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander primary health care. The course enhances and builds on the foundation knowledge learnt in Certificate III and Certificate IV Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Participants will learn new clinical skills and knowledge, to enable greater understanding of how the body works and how to make sound clinical assessments and decisions that are applicable to the workplace and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
