Trauma informed approaches to Aboriginal wellbeing

 

Overview

Target audience: Mental health workers, community sector workers and other workers who support Aboriginal people impacted by trauma

Course summary: This 2-day training course is designed, developed and delivered by Aboriginal people for workers in the mental health or community service sectors who support Aboriginal people impacted by trauma. The trauma includes generational trauma, family violence, sexual assault, alcohol and other drug issues and mental distress.

Created by the We Al-li program, this workshop is designed to be a celebration of life - a process of healing, sharing and regeneration - which is equally relevant to Indigenous and non-Indigenous workers. Topics covered include:
