Trauma informed care training for health professionals

 

Overview

Target audience: People such as family health workers, youth workers, drug and alcohol workers, counsellors and social workers who are working with clients who are suffering from the effects of childhood trauma or abuse

Course summary: Trauma informed care training uses neurobiological (brain) research and evidence from the client's experiences to find which strategies work best with each client. This helps clients so they can be empowered to recover from trauma or abuse. The course includes how to:
