Diabetes management and education

 

Overview

Target audience: Registered general nurses, Aboriginal health workers and allied health professionals

Course outline: This course aims to provide students with the contemporary knowledge and skills required to effectively care for clients with diabetes mellitus and equip them to contribute to research in this area. It comprises three theoretical topics and one practical topic involving 40 hours of clinical placement. The theoretical topics are conducted in a five-day block on campus.

Students in the graduate diploma are required to do a professional experience placement (work experience) during their program of study.
