This two-day course is a series of interactive and fun workshops on sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses.
The training is specifically designed for Aboriginal youth workers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers in Victoria (Vic).
There is a series of interactive workshops to initiate discussions about sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses in a culturally appropriate way. Each activity in the kit has a 'how to' sheet for ease of use and sessions can be adapted to suit community needs.
Following the training a sexual health team member from VACCHO is available to assist with delivery of the first session with community members.

Training is scheduled to be delivered between November 2014 and March 2015.
The course was developed by the Sexual and Blood Borne Virus Team at the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and partner organisations, Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health, Hepatitis Vic, Centre Against Sexual Assault House Deakin University and the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.
