Target audience: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people looking to take a step into a primary health care setting. The course aims to reflect the role an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander performs in primary health care.
Course summary: This course is intended to support the recognition of basic levels of skill and knowledge held by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people undertaking health-related work in community contexts.
Delivery mode is flexible and if students are not employed then supervised practical placements will be required to enable competencies to be demonstrated in a workplace environment.
Students need to complete seven core and three elective units to achieve the qualification of HLT20113.
