Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid

 

Overview

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid Course (AMHFA) curriculum is evidence-based, as informed by the AMHFA Guidelines.

Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.

The training is presented by the Maitland Community Drug Action Team and will be held at the Woodberry Family Centre, Woodberry, New South Wales.
