2018 National NAIDOC Week

 

Overview

The theme of NAIDOC Week 2018 is Because of her, we can! The week will celebrate the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make, as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.

All Australians are encouraged to participate in the celebrations and activities that take place across the nation during NAIDOC Week.

At the end of every NAIDOC Week, the National NAIDOC Awards are announced at a ceremony and ball event held in the national focus city. This city will be announced later in the year.

Each year the winners of the National NAIDOC Awards will be announced in the following categories:

Nominations close 5pm AEDT Monday 26 March 2018.

The National NAIDOC poster competition is open. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists aged 13 years and over are encouraged to submit artwork which reflects the 2018 theme, Because of her, we can.

Entries close 5pm AEDT Monday 05 February 2018.
