Quality Assurance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Services (QAAMS) National Workshop

Overview

Quality Assurance for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Medical Services (QAAMS) provides culturally appropriate and clinically effective diabetes management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the use of resources and training.

The workshop program will include full training for people undertaking competency certification for the first time and competency update for those previously trained. The workshop program will also allow for interactive group sessions, presentations from services and education about diabetes care.

The workshop is open to all health service staff including Aboriginal Health Worker and Health Practitioners, diabetes educators, nurses and doctors.
