Western Rivers Cup

Overview

The Western Rivers Cup is a joint initiative by the South West Indigenous Network (SWIN) and Queensland (Qld) Cricket, and is South West Qld's only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cricket carnival. The carnival's name recognises the cultural significance of the region's river systems to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with each team named after one of these important rivers.

The Western Rivers Cup concept was established in 2013 with six male teams nominating for the carnival at Newtown Park, Qld.
