National Child Protection Week 2017

National Child Protection Week is launched on Fathers Day each year and supports and encourages the safety and wellbeing of Australian children and families through the Play Your Part Awards, events, programs and resources.

The Play Your Part campaign aims to provide communities and individuals with practical information on how to 'Play Your Part’ and to embed primary prevention messages into social discourse. It also provides a platform for communities to be empowered, resourced and mobilised to take action at a local level.

In 2017 the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) encourages Australians to build on Protecting Children is Everyone’s Business: Play Your Part by focussing on the theme Stronger Communities, sager children. This theme emphasises the importance and value of connected communities in keeping children and young people safe and well.

Registration of events for National Child Protection Week can be submitted here.
