Estimating the societal cost of methamphetamine use in Australia

Overview

This free public seminar reports on the recent cost-of-illness (CoI) study that aimed to quantify the overall social costs associated with methamphetamine use. It will also explore the challenges in conducting drug related CoI studies.

In the presentation, Steve Allsop and Robert Tait, from the National Drug Research Institute, will specifically report key findings, and some of the conclusions drawn from their research into the use of methamphetamine in Australia.
