Dental Health Week 2017

Overview

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and dental organisations are encouraged to host an oral health promotion event during Dental Health Week 2017.

Dental Health Week is about communicating the importance of good oral health to patients and community. Practices are encouraged to get creative and have fun with event-planning.

Dental Health Week events can be held onsite at health/dental services, or staged in the community.

The Australian Dental Association has produced all kinds of free resources that dental and health organisations can use for their events. These include posters, bunting and fact sheets.

The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet is an excellent source of Indigenous-specific oral health promotion resources that can be used to promote good oral health during Dental Health Week 2017.
