The Long Walk 2017 - Brisbane

Overview

The Long Walk commemorates Aboriginal Australia Football League (AFL) player, Michael Long’s walk from Melbourne to Canberra in 2004, to take a stand against racial abuse. Today it is a mission of hope, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians rallying together.

Everyone is welcome to join in the walk from Musgrave Park to The Gabba, in Brisbane arriving in time for the Brisbane Lions' game against the Geelong Cats.

Before the walk starts, there'll be a free healthy BBQ and family-friendly activities, making it a day full of Deadly Choices!

Walk for unity, for recognition, and for a united Australia.

Don't miss this deadly day out!

Deadly Choices is proudly supporting this AFLQ and Brisbane Lions event.

The first 300 participants to register will receive a Long Walk t-shirt and match ticket. If you miss out on the initial 300 tickets, you can still take part in The Long Walk but will need to purchase a ticket to enter the game.

For ticket information for the game please see links below.
