Cultural Competency for Supervisors of Aboriginal People - 2 day workshop

Overview

This two day workshop is designed to ensure that skills that are most relevant to working effectively with Aboriginal people are targeted. This program also focuses on the practical development of skills specific to retaining Aboriginal people in the workplace.

Participants complete a unique assessment tool the General cultural competency test (GCCT) to gauge their cultural competencies at training commencement. The GCCT provides each participant with a personal feedback report which allows them to continually improve their skills. This training has evidence of improving the cultural competencies of participants at training conclusion.

The course is delivered by Indigenous Psychological Services and facilitated by Dr Tracey Westerman.
