Gnarrwirring Ngitj Festival

 

Overview

Sovereign Hill and the Wadawurrung community are presenting an Aboriginal history and cultural festival called ‘Gnarrwirring Ngitj’ (no,wor-ring nitch) to celebrate Aboriginal stories, traditions and history, as well as the important contribution that Aboriginal people made to the 19th century gold rushes in Victoria.

The festival program includes:

A highlight of the festival will be a Corroboree, held on Saturday 3 June at 5.15pm, featuring a very special performance of traditional Wadawurrung dance and song, performed by firelight.

This is a free event however, tickets must be booked prior.
