This conference will focus on the theme Embracing the unexpected - the unpredictable world of rural health care. It will explore how rural health practitioners can develop their skills and knowledge to deal with unexpected or uncertain situations in rural practice.
The conference will include presentations from a number of speakers who will discuss their experiences of dealing with challenging and uncertain situations and will cover a range of topics relating to the central theme. Some of these include:
Complimentary clinical workshops will be held on the last day of the conference which will include relevant clinical skills, case study learning discussions and practical hands-on sessions. As part of this years conference, the Rural Health West Doctors' Service Awards will also be presented to recognise the commitment of long-serving doctors and specialists working in rural and remote Western Australia.
