Indigenous Risk Impact Screen (IRIS) Workshop

Overview

This two day Indigenous Risk Impact Screen (IRIS) workshop is for clinicians who wish to promote culturally competent practice that contributes to the improvement of health care service to Indigenous Australians.

The IRIS screening instrument is a culturally validated early intervention tool that helps identify risks involving alcohol and other drug use and to manage associated mental health issues. This workshop aims to provide knowledge and skills in the use and implementation of the IRIS Screening and brief intervention tool.

This workshop is free to attend and will be presented by Damien Martin, Indigenous Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Coordinator from Insight AOD Training and Education Unit.
