This forum will provide delegates with tools for developing and implementing mental health programmes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The forum will outline the need to educate, empower and support communities to respond to mental health issues as well as the need for improving resources within local mental health services. It will outline some of the benefits that can come from forming partnerships with other communities as well as with mainstream health services to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities receive improved service delivery and mental health support.

The forum will also include post-conference workshops facilitated by Dr Mark Wenitong, Public Health Medical Advisor at Apunipima Cape York Health Council, and Katrina Dart, Consultant Instructor Trainer and Instructor Coordinator at Mental Health First Aid.
