Inhaler Medications and Device Technique

 

Overview

This videoconference will discuss the common respiratory medications delivered in inhaler therapy and demonstrate correct device techniques. Aspects of the patient's education will also be addressed.

The videoconference is the first in a series of scheduled sessions on asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). These sessions are aimed at upskilling and providing professional development opportunities for health professionals, clinicians and health workers in all Western Australia (WA) Country Health Service regions. The sessions are delivered via Telehealth.

This service provides asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) education and support services delivered through videoconferencing technology (Telehealth) to people in rural and regional Western Australia (WA), where local asthma or COPD services are limited or do not exist.

The education sessions are delivered by Asthma Foundation WA’s clinical respiratory and asthma educators.

This is not an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specific service.
