ACCU: The Cannabis Check-Up Training

 

Overview

This free training opportunity is suitable for anyone in Western Australia (WA) who is working with clients using cannabis and needs a structured intervention.

The training is based on a clinical trial run by staff from the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC), and uses motivational interviewing techniques. It is suitable for clinicians who see clients that are primarily non-treatment seeking.

It is hoped that the training will enable participants to implement an evidence-based motivational enhancement intervention with their own clients. An optional skills based session in relation to behaviour change is also offered.

Please note that to attend this training, clinicians will need to agree to a three month follow-up session. To register, please refer to the links/contact details below.
